He was the son of Morris Foster and Marine Moore Foster. He was a member of the White Rock Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by daughter, Tonya Wilson; brothers, Chester and Junior Foster; brother-in-law, Jimmy Rippy. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Phillips Foster of Huntsville; two precious daughters, Mechelle Hembree and husband Jerry of Jacksboro, Andrea Ward and husband Randall of Lake City; two grandchildren, Dwayne and Jamie Wilson of Lake City; sisters, Wanda Rippy of Mooresville; Ind. and Earlene Howard and husband Ross of Sunbright; brothers, Martin Foster of Helenwood and Herman Foster and wife Jeannet of Chatsworth, Ga.; Aunt Celia Foster of West Robbins community; a special father and mother-in-law, Darrell and Leona Phillips of Huntsville; brothers-in-law, Daniel and David Phillips of Huntsville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and! a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held January 20 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. James E. West officiating. Graveside services were held January 21 at 11 a.m. in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery. West Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. MARY GLADYS DUNCAN TRAMMELL, 87, of Winfield, passed away on January 18 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Senia Anderson Duncan. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. Trammell; her youngest son, Sherman Lee Trammell; brothers, Anthony Duncan; son-in-law, Clayton King; and grandson, Jeffery Clayton King. She is survived by one son, Hillary Trammell and wife Doris of Winfield; three daughters, Lanta Reynolds and husband Dick of Winfield, Pearl Collins and husband Jack of Kingsport, and Patricia Taylor and husband Jerry of Church Hill; daughter-in-law, Gwena Trammell of Winfield; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa, Lola, Kelvin, Arnie, Matilda, Ginger, and Mia; ten great-grandchildren, Katie, Caleb, Courtney, Lindsey, Cameron, Jacob, Kayla, Clayton, Chase, and Sydney; four step-great-grandchildren, Sarah, Dustin, Jennifer, and! Heather; special friends who are part of her family, Ruth Wesley, Pauline Douglas, Ethel Chitwood, Joyce Daugherty, and Hedia Bushman and all of the young people in the Clay Hill Community that stopped and visited with her. Funeral services were conducted January 20 at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Chitwood and Rev. Dilmon Stanley officiating. Graveside services were conducted January 20 at 8 p.m. in the Trammell Cemetery in the Clay Hill Community. CHARLES DAVID COOKE III, 62, of Oneida passed away on January 21 at the Scott County Hospital. He was the son of Charles Cooke II and Jeanie Helton Cooke. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Lola Cooke of Lafollette and many other relatives and friends. A private memoiral service to be held later by the family. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. ANNA MAE BURCHFIELD STRUNK, 66, passed away on January 22 at the Scott County Hospital. She as the daughter of the late Ida Burchfield and Woodrow Burchfield. She is survived by her children, Tony Honeycutt of Oneida, Billy Wayne Smith and wife Eva; daughter, Cristie Sloan and husband Robert of Oneida; brothers, Harold Burchfield, Levi Burchfield, and Joe Burchfield; grandchildren, Rachel Smith and Cody Smith; aunt, Pearl Chitwood; cousin, Dora Mae Wassenaar; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held January 25 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Duncan officiating. Music was provided by Arzo and Linda Hamby. Interment was in the Daniel Memorial Cemetery in Helenwood. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. MALCOM E. SOWER, 88, of Crossville, formerly of Scott County, passed away on January 22 at his home. He was the son of the late Davie E. and Dorothy Shafford Sower. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Crossville, a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo, O. where he served for 43 years and was instrumental in supervising various early church building programs. He was an Army Sergeant in the South Pacific during WWII. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, William, Paul and Donald Sower; sisters, Naomi Sower Cramer and Lucy Sower Anderson; brother, Edson Sower. He is survived by wife, Lucille Washam Sower; daughters, Dawn Sower, Deborah Wokaty and husband Dave of Rensselaer, N.Y., and Diane Smoke and husband Dana of Canton, Ga.; son, David Sower and wife Rebecca of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Madeline Sower, Lauren, Kelsey, and Emily Smoke, Erin Sower, Sarah and Hannah Wokaty and Luke Sower; brother, Christopher Sower! ; and sister, Floy Sower Shank. Funeral services were held January 26 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Ward and Pastor Bob Schoolfield officiating. Burial followed in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida. Jones & Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
