This is what I have: James Smith born Jul 1871 died before 1930 according to the 1900 census, second district, Scott County James Smith, Head, July 1871,28, M6, Tennessee, Farmer Sarah J, Wife, Feb 1877, 23, M6, beared 3 children 2 living at time of census, Tennessee William, Son, Oct 1896, 3, Tennessee Kizzie, Daughter, July 1899 10/12, Tennessee As of 1910 still in second district, Scott County James, Head, 35, M16, Tennessee, Laborar - odd Jobs Sarah J, Wife, 32, M16, 7 Children - 5 living, Tennessee Willie, Son, 12, Tennessee Kizzy, Daughter, 10, Tennessee Lindsay C, Son, 9, Tennessee Andrew E, Son, 8, Tennessee Charlie B, Son, 4/12, Tennessee I don't find James after this. I did find Sarah in the 1930 census 3rd District, Campbell County Tennessee Smith Sarah, head, age 50, WD, 16 Ethridge, son, age 22, M, 22 Charles, son, age 20 Joseph, son, age 19 Lawrence, son, age 19 Rufus, son, age 15 Birddie, D-Law, age 30, M, 16 Steeley, Elmer, grandson, age 11 Sarah Jaine parents were Jessie Goodman and Julia Massengale Sarah and James married 19 Dec 1894 in Scott County I found several census records on James Smith before 1900, but unable to confirm if its "really" him.
