He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jarvis and Susan Clawson Bullard; brother, Jim Bullard; sister, Carrie Leach. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lillie Braden Bullard; daughter, Mildred B. Asbury of LaFollette; son and daughter in law, John F. and Patsy C. Bullard of Speedwell; grandchildren, Tim Bullard and wife Melanie, Angie Bullard Evans and husband Richard, all of Speedwell; Susan Asbury Newsome and husband Brian of Rochester, NY and Kara L. June Harness, age 65 of Caryville passed away Sept. 29 at 3:37 a.m. at Methodist Medical Center. She was a member of Red Ash Baptist Church of Caryville. She enjoyed house cleaning and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Goodman; mother, Vanell Lough; brothers, Ray Goodman and Charles Goodman; sister, Pauline Goodman. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Pauline Silcox Brock Herron, age 74, of Jacksboro passed away Oct. 2 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Elizabeth Bowling Silcox; husbands, Charles Brock and James (Ed) Herron. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Juanita and Odevia Muse, Jacksboro, Marilyn Kay and Adam Kronour, LaFollette, Tammy and David Muse, Caryville; sons and daughter-in-laws, Denis (Denny) Brock and Katrina, Sugar Land, TX, Jimmy and Janice Herron, Jacksboro; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were Oct. 5 at the New Horizon Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Wilson and Rev. Jim Wilcox officiating Interment was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Daniel R. "Dan" Hill, age 44 of Fairfield, PA died at 3:48 a.m. on Sept. 26 at his home. He had been fighting cancer for over two years and was critically ill for the last week. He was born Dec. 20, 1960 in LaFollette; he was the son of Dorothy A. (Sprungberg) Hill of Waynesboro, PA and the late Glen E. Hill. He lived most of his life in the Waynesboro area. He was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1979. He then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration specializing in Business Management from Shippensburg University with the class of 1983. He and his wife of 23 years, Sherry D. (Bakner) Hill were married Aug. 22, 1982 in Salem Church, Waynesboro. They moved to their present residence in January 1952. Following his graduation, he was employed as a National Sales Manager for TAB/McGraw Hill Book Company, Blue Ridge Summit, PA and then Morse Data Corporation. Since 1988 he was employed as Sales Service Manager and Division Sales Manger for Quebecor World Book Printing, Fairfield. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and also very active at Salem Church, both of Waynesboro. He was a member of Acacia Lodge #586 Free and Accepted Masons, Waynesboro. In his younger years, he was involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed being with friends and family, computers, skiing, biking and the outdoors. He was also fond of jazz and contemporary Christian music. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his children, Joshua R. Hill and Rebecca R. Hill, both at home; sister, Carol E. Hill-Young of Waynesboro; brothers, Jeffrey D. Hill of Waynesboro, Ronald W. Hill of Newport, PA and David L. Hill of Chicago, IL; a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Oct. 2 in the Salem Church, Waynesboro with the Revs. Lin Smalec and John F. Huff officiaiting. Interment was private. He was retired from General Motors Corporation. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Stevens; brothers, Dave Hunley and Deb Arthur. Margaret Irene Fox Jones, age 88 of Lake City went to be with her Lord on Sept. 30 at the Lake City Healthcare Center. She was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church. She was born Feb. 2, 1917 in Knox County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Don Jones; parents, Reuben and Maud Campbell Fox; sisters, Dessie Fox Bolton and Cora Ellen Moser; brothers, Reuben Fox, Jr. and Horace L. Fox. She was born March 2, 1917 in Demory, the daughter of John L. and Laura Murphy Shoun. She attended Lincoln Memorial University at Harrogate and taught elementary school at Demory, Oak Grove, Olinger and Jonesville elementary schools in Lee County, VA. She was a member of the Jonesville First United Methodist Church and a member of Judge Cridlin's Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Lindsey Robinette; parents, John L. and Laura Murphy Shoun; grandson, Michael Lindsey Schmitt; sisters, Sarah Heatherly, Flora Heatherly, Elva Morton, Edna Stephens, Sylvia Hagerdorn, Vivian Potter, Verla Stephens and Christine Begley.
