From The Oak Ridger 6 Oct 2005 Georgia Privette Jones, 94, a resident of Oliver Springs, Jamie Lee Pond, 28, a lifelong resident of the Dutch Valley community in Clinton, Joseph B. "Joey" Pressley, 32, of Central City, Ky., Georgia Privette Jones, 94, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born Aug. 23, 1911, in Petros and lived most of her life in the Oliver Springs area. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Harriman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Fred Martin Sr., and Joseph Walter Jones; son, James Fred Martin Jr.; parents, Robert B. and Elizabeth Carson Privette; sisters, Tommie J. Privette and Altonia Runkles; and brothers, Fain, Robert and Kyle Privette. Survivors include her daughters, Faye Jones and husband, Albert of Oliver Springs, and Carol Raby and husband, Gordon of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Gary Jones, Connie Jones, Tim Jones, Sonya Craze, Kristi Everett, and Keith Raby; great-grandchildren, Natasha Mehaffey, Devin Jones, Tiffany Martin, Stacie Clark, Scott Lane, Christy Williams, Elizabeth Raby, Isaac Raby, Hayden Everett and Landen Everett; great-great grandchildren, Deagan Jones, Audrey Clark and Mackeena Clark; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The Jones family would like to offer a most sincere appreciation to those who ided the family and provided care to Mrs. Jones. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Sharp Funeral Home with funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wesley Duncan, the Rev. Sam Loy and special former pastor, the Rev. Kenny Stubbs officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. at New Fairview Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Jamie Lee Pond, 28, a lifelong resident of the Dutch Valley community in Clinton, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1977 in Knoxville. He was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, and also employed by Blalock & Son Construction Company in Knoxville as a heavy equipment operator. Jamie was an outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and socializing with his friends. He was also an avid race car fan. Survivors include his wife, Kristy Tucker Pond of Dutch Valley; sons, Jacob Tyler Pond of Dutch Valley, and Zachary Ethan Pond of Dutch Valley; parents, Jimmy and JoAnn Lyles Pond of Dutch Valley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Helen Tucker of Dutch Valley; sister, Charlene Moyers and husband, Scott of Knoxville; nieces, Tiffany and Jayden White of Dutch Valley; nephew, Scott Moyers Jr. of Knoxville; and a host of extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Sharp Funeral Home with funeral services following at 8 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Murl Phillips and the Rev. Houston Carroll officiating. Burial and graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at the Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City. "Joey" Pressley, 32, of Central City, Ky., passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Madisonville, Ky., from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born Dec. 12, 1972, in Kentucky, the son of Thomas Pressley and June Pressley of Central City, Ky. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom and Wayne. In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by his brother, Guy, and sisters, Dawn, Penny and Belle. Services were held Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 4 and 5 at Devlon Funeral Home in Central City, Ky.
