I know they might not be Scott Co., but there are plenty of Byrd in Scott Co. that someone might have some information on this family. I am trying to help someone with some Byrd research and I can’t quite get it straight. I think the John Wiley Byrd that is listed isn’t related to Mollie Jane Byrd. He is with another family. Her grandmother was Mollie Jane Bird (Byrd). She had a brother Wiley. Their Billy Bird/Byrd (born in Virginia) and Nannie Richmond (born in Virginia) died when they were very young and the kids were raised by grandparents in or near Williamsburg, Ky. I found an 1880 census when her grandmother was 16, she was living with some Blakley's, listed on the census as a cousin. James M Blakely 34, Mary 40, Bell, 9, Frank F 4, Mollie Bird 16 (cousin). Birthplace for her parents shows KY. Her grandmother's death certificate lists her father as Billy Byrd and mother as Nannie Richmond. She lists her grandmother and brother as follows: John Wiley Byrd born Nov. 1863 Jackson Co., Ky, died Nov. 1935 Atlanta. Mollie Jane Byrd born 2-6-1864 Williamsburg, Ky. Died 1-18-1937 Warrior, Ala.
