BETTY - age 71, Jonelle Court, Harriman, TN THOMPSON, PHILLIP DARIN - 40, of Oak Ridge, BRADEN, ISAAC "SACK" - age 84 of Briceville, Tenn., passed away Saturday September 23, 2005, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1921 to the late Mose and Haley Brown Braden. He was a member of the Briceville First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a US Army veteran having served in WW II. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cleta Hatmaker Barden, son, Delbert Braden, brothers, Charlie, Jim, Bill, Robert, and Lige Braden, and his siters, Lizzie Ward, Maudie Hooks, Darcus Goins, Lillie Davis and Rosa Caughron. Survivors: granddaughter, Chessica Ferguson, Lake City; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Sunday September 25, 2005 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service 8 p.m. Sunday September 25, 2005 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Thomas and Brother Audrey Goins officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Monday September 26, 2005 at the Brown Cemetery in Briceville, with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Hatmaker Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements. GREEN, LAWRENCE HOMER - age 65 of Solway, passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2005 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by mother, Mildred Carroll; father, J.P. Green; sister, Kathy Green; brother, Paul Green; father-in-law, John Blackburn. Survived by wife of 39 years, Jonna M. Green; daughter and son-in- law, Meri G. and Bert Power; grandson and his pride and joy, John Power; brothers and sister-in-law, Don and Faye Green of Knoxville, and Mike Green of Crossville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Dale Lockett of Knoxville, Sharon and Ted Rogers of Colorado, and Sheila and Don Farmer, Jo and James Hughes all of Cleveland, and Diane and Jerry Welch of GA.; mother-in-law, Mary Blackburn of Oak Ridge; sister-in-law, Cheryl Blackburn of Nashville; special family member, Kenny Norman; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends 5:30-8 pm Sunday at Weaver's Chapel with a Masonic service to follow at 8 pm. John Pascal with the Cherokee Lodge will conduct the service. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 pm Monday at Weaver's to proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 1 pm graveside service. Chaplain Jack Sills officiating. In lieu of flowers, Lawrence requested donations to be made to Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff in the ICU unit at Methodist Medical Center. Chris was a wonderful son, brother, & uncle. He is survived by his mother, Carol Mount; father, Wayne Mount & wife Leslie; brothers, Clint Martin & wife Ashley, Doug Mount & wife Kisty, & Aaron; sisters, Brandi Martin & husband Shannon, Jamie Hayes & husband Chris, & Meghan; nieces & nephews, Austin, Matthew, Trent, Tracey, Madison, Gracie, Coy, & Ella; special friends, Shaunda, Gary & Lori Houck. Preceded in death by husband, Carl Edwin Powell; parents, Archie and Lorene White; brothers, Ozelle White and Larry White; sister, Erma King; mother-in-law, Bertha Powell. Survivors include: son: Larry Powell & wife, Myrna, Rockwood, TN; daughters: Janice Beasley & husband, Tony, Cotton, GA, Becky Shull & husband, Mark, Huntsville, AL, Donna Lewis & husband, Steve, Signal Mountain, TN; grandchildren: Sara, Leslie, Jeff, Derek and Michael; sisters: Lois Duff & husband, Alvin, Rockwood, TN, Archie Ann White & husband, George, Rockwood, TN, Margaret Short, Lenoir City, TN; sister-in-law: Dorothy Walsh, Kingston, TN. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the family of Mrs. Betty Powell. THOMPSON, PHILLIP DARIN - 40, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 in Knoxville from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born May 27, 1965 in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, David K. Thompson in 2000. He is survived by his mother and step- father, Sue and Roger Olson; his sister, Shea Thompson and her partner, Robin Tinberg and his niece, Layton, all of Oak Ridge; grandparents, Leonard and Rogene Groene of Arkansas City, KS; uncle, Larry Thompson and cousins, of Ponca City, OK; and Aunt, Sara Wisecup and cousins of Minnesota. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2005 at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013. The family will receive friends at the home following the graveside service at 106 Cedar Park Lane, Oak Ridge.
