Looking for any ancestors/relatives of anyone in this obit: TERRY, MATTHEW TYLER 1983-2000 � 16, of Oneida, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 19, at the Scott County Hospital. He was the son of JIM and BRENDA TERRY HARRIS. Preceding him in death were ROBERT HARRIS and great-grandparents, MAMIE and CICERO LEWALLEN, REV. HENRY TERRY and HELEN MARIE SLAVEN. MATTHEW was a member of the High Point Baptist Church and attended Little Charity Church of God. He was a sophomore at Oneida High School and was active in car racing. He is survived by his parents, JIM and BRENDA TERRY HARRIS; one sister, ROSEMARY THOMPSON and husband ARON; and three brothers, JAMIE HARRIS, MATT HARRIS, and SEAN HARRIS and wife BRANDY, all of Oneida; grandmothers, FANNIE TERRY and VERDA HARRIS; and great-grandmother, AVO TERRY, all of Oneida; aunts and uncles, CARL TERRY, BOB HARRIS and wife LINDA, all of Oneida, JONI SMITH and husband ALVIN of Spring City; MARIESA JEFFERS and husband PAUL of Ft. Stewart, GA. and SARAH DOUGLAS, and RACHEL TERRY, both of Oneida, special nieces and nephews, CLOIE and JESSE THOMPSON, PRAYLEE, CAYLEN, AND CHRISTA HARRIS, all of Oneida; special great-uncles, ANDY LEWALLEN and ROBERT TERRY both of Oneida; and many other special relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Oneida, with Rev. MILFORD STANLEY and Rev. [omitted] officiating. Special music was provided by TAMMY and JANA YEOMAN. Burial was in Hazel Valley Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: ADAM HAMBY, AVVON HAMBY, WILL PARKER, CHRIS LEWALLEN, DUSTIN LAY, and RYAN SMITH. Honorary pallbearers were: DONNIE SEXTON, DUSTIN SMITH, ALEN [ALLEN?] OOTEN, and members of their racing pit crew. Jones and Son Funeral Home of Oneida was in charge of the arrangements.
