He attended Londsale United Methodist Church in Knoxville. He grew up in Knoxville where he attended school through the eighth grade. He attended High School at Campbell County Comprehensive High School. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alma "Pat" Bruce; grandfather, George Ray Adams. He is survived by son, Mykael Kristopher Storm Adams of Caryville; mother, Betty Bruce Adams Lovely and husband, Garry of Caryville; father, Robert Michael Adams of Powell; fiancée, Alisha Markel of Heiskell; mother of his son, Dianne Whiesenant of Caryville; sister, Leslie Prater and husband, Casey of Petros; grandparents, Graydon and Mazada Lovely of Lake City, Mary Adams of Powell, John Bruce of Caryville; great-grandmother, Roxie Rhodes of Powell; aunt, Lois Smith of Knoxville; cousins, Martin Smith of Chicago and Dr. Tamara Smith of Knoxville; a host of other relatives and friends. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Rubin Obadee "Dee" Beeler of Fountain County, formerly of LaFollette, was born April 28, 1934 and passed away Aug.29 in Fountain. He was retired from the US Army having served two tours in Germany, two tours in Korea, and a tour in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerrilynn; parents, Joe and Mary McCarty Beeler; sisters, Joyce Martin and Judy Sharp; brother, Wonnie Beeler. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Angie and son, Derrell all of Fountain, County; son and daughter in law, Bill and Shirley, Shawnee, Ks; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, plus one due soon; sister, Lois Abney; brothers, Conley and Bruce Beeler all of Ohio; sister Betty Carroll and brother, Ronnie "Bo" Beeler, TN and sister, Imogene Overbey, Fla; a host of other relatives and friends. Flossie Mae Brown, age 84 of Lake City passed away Sept. 3 at the home of her daughter, son-in-law and grandson where she had been living since June. She was born Oct. 12, 1920 in Morgan County to the late Ben and Mary Inez Brummitt Mitts. She was of the Church of God faith. She attended the Lake City Mountain Assembly Church of God, Lick Creek Holiness Church and the Jellico Highway Holiness Church. She loved sewing, quilting, canning and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Brown; sisters, Naomi Mitts and Flora Sparks; brothers, Robert Mitts, Frank Lutner and Arthur Lutner. David Johnson, Jr., age 85 of Cumberland Gap passed away Sept. 1 at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1919. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrogate. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, an avid traveler and a World War II Veteran and was multi decorated including three Bronze stars. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Johnson, Sr. and Maggie Ausmus Johnson; wife, Lois Ausmus Johnson; son, Jerry Johnson; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Sylvia Johnson Jones of Newport, Flow Paige Jackson of Birmingham, Ala; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. May, Sr., age 92 of LaFollette, went to be with his Lord on Sept. 1 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a retired grocery store owner and carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Ann Gilmore May; brothers, Everette May and Bill Kreis; sister, Lora Mae Williams. He is survived by his children, Helen Abston, of Oliver Springs, JoAnn Smith and husband, Harvey of LaFollette, Walter C. She was born in Campbell County on May 31, 1933, and was retired from Blue Bird Baking Company. She was a member of Union Chapel Community Church and frequent visitor of Lighthouse Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. in 2002. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn and David Carroll and Karen Reeder; sons and daughters-in-law, Sonny and Becky Randolph, Glen and Karen Randolph, Charles Meyer and Carl Meyer; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and her baby, Kelsey; sister Cordelia Foy; brother, John Smith and a very special friend, Fran Robinson. She was born June 21, 1924 and grew up in Enville, TN. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, where she met her future husband Charles Henry Russell, Jr. (CJ) and moved to LaFollette in 1946. She was an active member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church. She loved her flowers and gardening and her circle of friends. She was a member of the LaFollette Town and Country Garden Club, former member of the Garden Guild Garden Club, American Rose Society Judge, former National Garden Club, Inc., and nationally accredited Flower Show Judge. She was also a member of the Campbell County Historical Society and the LaFollette Book Club. Most importantly, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles H. Russell, Jr. (CJ); daughter, Elizabeth Ann Russell; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Howell; brothers, Carl, Earl, and James Howell; sisters, Lena Mae Pruitt, Martha Howell and Etta Howell. He was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was ordained as Elder and served as trustee. He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1943, the University of Tennessee in 1948 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a broker in the investment industry for 45 years with Elliot Adams, Davidson and Company, Cherokee Securities, Hilliard Lyons and Merrill Lynch. During his career, he served on the Board of Directors of the East Tennessee Children's Hospital for 27 years, where he acted as treasurer. He also served with other charitable organizations and was a member of Cherokee Country Club and the Men's Cotillion. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Marshall Schmid and his parents, Adolph Albert and Helen Dempster Schmid. He is survived by his wife, Betty Anne Schmid; sons, James D., Jr. and wife, Debbie Schmid and Robert and wife, April Schmid; daughter, Anne and husband, Timothy Tidwell; grandchildren, Rachel Schmid Taylor of Oklahoma, Laura Schmid, Sarah Schmid, Kelly Schmid, Jake Tidwell, and Eleanor Tidwell all of Knoxville; stepdaughter, Bess and husband, David Stout of Jacksboro; stepson, Richard and wife, Andrea Sharp of Westchester, CA; stepgrandchildren, Janet Stout Seiber, Jessica Stout, Robert Sharp, and Shelby Sharp; brother, Robert A. and wife, Carol Schmid; four nephews all of Knoxville.
