    3. I am researching the line of H. M. (or Harvey) CHITWOOD, who married my great aunt Mary Chevis DAVIS in Erwin, TN, abt 1911. I actually just recently found out his first name, and that he was b 1875 in either TN or KY, so I started looking on census records to find out his parents' names. I did find him in the 1900 census in Pulaski Co, KY, living w his mother Sarah and a step father, Harrison JONES. As he was when living in TN, he was working for the railroad in KY. However, trying to locate him in the previous census, 1880, I only found one record for a 5 year old H. M. (he went by initials), in Scott Co., TN. Unfortunately, there was no mother Sarah in the same hh, so I can't be sure this is the same H. M. CHITWOOD. He was in the hh of a Joel B. CHITWOOD, with sons Jas. L. and H. M. listed, but no wife in the hh. Does anyone have access to any indexes of local records that might show who Joel CHITWOOD's wife was? I'd like to know whether I should rule out this household as possible father of my H. M. Chitwood. Thanks in advance for any help. Jacqi

    3. There is a Joel Chitwood married to Mary Jane Trammell March 22, 1876 in the Scott Co. marriages book. Maybe she died and Sarah was a step-mother?
