Thank you to all on the list who helped me with info on which of several Oakdales in TN might be the candidate for the birthplace of my Harvey M. CHITWOOD. It looks like it is reasonable to pursue my search in Morgan County. I have one more question. I am trying to locate the most likely concentrations of the surname CHITWOOD in TN. I remember someone on a list once mentioned a site where you can enter a surname and it will show you where there, geographically, that surname is concentrated in the US.
