From the Knoxville News Sentinel 29 Sep 2005 HAYDON, MARY POOR "POLLY" - age 93 of Oak Ridge, TN, SEIBER, DAVID LYNN "CROCKET" - age 50 of Clinton, HAYDON, MARY POOR "POLLY" - age 93 of Oak Ridge, TN, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at NHC Healthcare Center. She was born October 24, 1911, in Kansas City, Missouri to Herbert and Flora Martin Poor. Polly attended Stephens College and graduated from Iowa State College in 1934 with a Ceramic Engineering degree. She worked for the Corps of Engineers in San Francisco, CA; before transferring to Norris, TN. Soon after moving to Norris she met and later married James C. (Tod) Haydon, former Electrical Superintendent for the City of Oak Ridge. They moved to Oak Ridge from Norris and Polly worked for several years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. A member of the Congregational Church and before her health failed, she was active in several local clubs: Tri-Delta, Kennel Club, Boat Club, Pilot Club and the Oak Ridge Amateur Radio Club with the call sign of N4MMV. Preceded in death by: parents; husband; and sister, Margaret "Peg" Hurd. Survivors are: nephew, Christian Hurd, wife Dia, and children Owen and Emily of Sierra Vista, AZ; niece, Signe Hurd of Bend, OR and her daughter, Brigetta Copple of New York City, NY. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, September, 29, 2005, 3:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Red Cross Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Fund or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Cremation Options, Inc. (865) 6WE-CARE (693- 2273). SEIBER, DAVID LYNN "CROCKET" - age 50 of Clinton, passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Knoxville and was employed with Poore's Tree Service in Clinton. David is preceded in death by: father, Damon Seiber; brothers, Ronald, Daniel Eugene Seiber; twins, Damon and Raymond Seiber. Survivors: wife, Angie Marie Stocks Seiber of Clinton; daughters, Christy Seiber of Knoxville, Amanda Seiber Lowe of Clinton, Tiffany Seiber Hawn of Clinton; mother, Maggie Roysden Seiber of Clinton; sisters, Doris Adcock & husband Ed of Coalfield, Edith Seiber Speers & husband Cameron of Clinton; brother, Jerry Jackson & wife Cathy of Beech Grove; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the Chapel with Brother David Dial officiating. His burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, September 30, 2005 at Sunset Cemetery.
