ADA VIOLA FOSTER NORRIS Ada Viola Foster Norris, 84, of Robbins, passed away on December 8 at her home in West Robbins. She was the daughter of the late John Doc Foster and the late Eliza Jane Young Foster. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her parents, she ws preceded in death by her husband, Henry Arthur Norris; one son, Hubert Norris; one daughter-in-law, Diane Norris; two brothers, Ray Foster and Raymond "Bud" Foster; two sisters, Beatrice Vories and Letha Northrup. She is survived by her children, Shirley Newport and husband J.C. of Resacca, Ga., Joyce Fairchild and husband Bill of Alvin, Tx., Jessie Norris of Alvin, Tx., Janice Driggins and husband Jimmy of Cohutta, Ga., Kenneth Norris and wife Leoma of Mt. Crest, Judy Positano and husband Tony of Plainfield, Ill., Kathy Filippelli and husband Carl of Poplar Grove, Ill., Jack Norris and wife Harriet of Rockwood, Lovell Shannon and husband Glen of Carol Stream, Ill., Lela Kochan of Aurora, Ill., Wendal ! Norris and wife Margie of Wartburg, Denise Matulik and husband Chuck of Miami, Fla; five sisters, Reba Byrd of Oneida, Carol Spence and husband Lee, Delphia Potter and husband David, Thelma Morgan all of West Robbins, and Hazel Bowling of Mountain View; two brothers, Johnny Foster and wife Wanda and Paul Foster and wife Mary all of West Robbins; 34 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted December 12 at 11 a.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy Church in Sunbright with Bishop A.J. Coalter and Pastor Lee Spence officiating. Burial followed in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery in Robbins. Pallbearers were the grandsons.
