Ms. Thompson was born December 27, 1916 in Loudon County to Amos and Mattie Parker. She was retired from Union Carbide Corporation where she was a secretary. Along with her parents, Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by her son, James Hubert Thompson in 2002. Survivors include: a brother, James Christy Parker of Oak Ridge; sister, Faye Parker Yelton of Greenback, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Tresa Batson and her husband, Mark of Powell, Kara Allison and her husband, David of Memphis; three great-granddaughters, Emma Batson and Jamie Batson, both of Powell and Claire Allison of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews. THOMPSON, REBA SEXTON - age 81 of Powell, formerly of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at the St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. Born in Scott County, Tennessee April 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Zettie Yancey Sexton. She was a member of Paint Rock Baptist Church and attended Temple Baptist Church in Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Bernice Sexton; brothers, Burnell Sexton and James F. Sexton; and three infant sisters. Reba is survived by: her husband of 65 years, Jamon M. Thompson of Powell; an adopted son in Kansas City; two sisters, Joyce Chitwood and husband Eugene of Powell, and Rema Watters and husband Ken of Dorby, Kansas.
