Elliott, age 54, of Heiskell, Tenn., Gladys Lorene Foust, age 88, of Lake City, Joe Thomas Good, age 82, of Knoxville, Genevieve Gail Martin Kelly, 84 years old, of Oak Ridge, Eliza Burgess Crowe, age 95, of the Petros-Joyner community, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 11, 2005. She was born on April 17, 1910, in Scott County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stephens Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ethel Crowe; brothers, Jesse and Junior Burgess; parents, Dawson and Annie Burgess; and her son, J.D. Crowe. She was a special lady who was loved by all. She enjoyed her family and friends and everyone getting together to have dinner. She never met a stranger. Surviving are children and their spouses, Sylvester Burgess of Petros-Joyner, Nancy Goddard of Petros-Joyner, Betty Lou Duncan and husband Lewis of Chattanooga, Exie Keathley and husband Chester of Petros-Joyner, Thelma Bruce of Wartburg, and Roberta Hall and husband Andrew of Petros-Joyner; 15 grandchildren, Chester Keathley Jr., Brenda Shirks, Betty Carpenter, Rita Phillips, Christy Fuller, Jeff White, Danny White, Tony White, Sherry Bunch, Melanie Lester, David Hall II, Amber Hall, Linda Lou Roberts, Beverly Wilson, and Rusty Duncan; 21 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Ledford, Miranda Shirks, Jessica Shirks, Julie Phillips, Cindy Adkins, Jason Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, Ethan Fuller, Kristin Duncan, David Hall, Sydney Hall, Tiffany Wilson, Savannah Laymance, Kelly White, John Daniel White, Jerika Melhorn, Westley Lester, Mikayla Lester, Kimberly Lively, Joseph Roberts, and Amy Roberts; six great-great-grandchildren, Konner Carpenter, Paige Wilson, Jeffery Ledford, Jordan Ledford, Gavin Ledford, and Baby Hawn; brother, Lester Burgess of Petros-Joyner; and a sister, Myrtle McFarland of Indiana. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, Dec. 13, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. Grace Edwards Deaderick, age 95, of Oliver Springs, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2005. She was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Philadelphia, Tennessee, moving to Oliver Springs in 1941. Mrs. Deaderick had taught in various schools in Roane, Loudon and Anderson County. She began her teaching career at Philadelphia Elementary School in Loudon. Following her move to Oliver Springs she taught at the Reed School of Anderson County. She retired from the Oliver Springs Elementary School in Roane County. Grace was an active member of Oliver Springs First Baptist Church and also a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 211, where she had served as a Past Matron. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.V. Deaderick; parents, Walter Eugene Edwards Sr. and Pearl Robinson Edwards; brothers, W.E. Edwards Jr. and Thomas Edwards. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Walls of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Danny Walls and wife, Carol, of Powell, Malinda Hackworth of Johnson City, and Edward Walls and wife, Denise, of Apopka, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Tony Walls and wife, Emily, of Louisville, Ky., Jennifer Walls of Powell, Jessie Hackworth of Oliver Springs, Jefferson Walls of Apopka, Fla., Kai Walls of Apopka, Fla., Preston Walls of Apopka, Fla., and Sophia Walls of Apopka, Fla. She was a member of Presbyterian Church in LaFollette. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Robbins, and her son, Ronald Edward McCulley Jr. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" Elliott of Heiskell; sons, Clifford Wayne McCulley of Clinton, James A. Elliott and wife Courtney of Kingsport, and Charles Eugene Elliott Jr.; mother, Lavada Hicks Robbins of Clinton; mother-in-law, Barbara Elliott of Norris; grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, and Alecia McCulley, and Brianna Elliott; brothers, Sam Robbins and wife Judy of Oliver Springs, and Ray Robbins and wife Pam of Kingston; sisters, Eulene Miller and husband Lawrence of Clinton, Tammy Poore and husband Robert of Powell; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Gladys Lorene Foust, age 88, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at her residence. She was born Feb. 12, 1917, to the late Rufus and Mellie Duncan. Gladys loved sewing, crocheting, knitting and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Omer Foust; son, Joe Foust; and brother, John Duncan. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cathy Foust of Lake City; granddaughter, Barbara and Kurt Christiansen of Knoxville; grandson, John Foust of Oliver Springs; great-granddaughter, Megan Franse of Knoxville; sister, Elizabeth and Glen Wallace of Clinton; special niece, Carol and Doug Qualls of Oliver Springs; and special neighbor, Imogene Leab of Lake City. Joe Thomas Good, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Mr. Good was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Middlesboro, Ky., to the late Alva Tom and Grace Hendrickson Good. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was retired from Union Carbide where he was employed as a machinist at Y-12. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jeanette Good, three brothers, three sisters, and one son-in-law. Mr. Good is survived by his wife, Mary Good of Knoxville; five sons, Joe Thomas Good and his wife Lori Ann of Detroit, Mich., Perry Alan Good of Lombard, Ill., Mark Adam Good and his wife Linda of Batavia, Ohio, Timothy Good of Davisburg, Ky., and Michael Steven Good of Pineville, Ky.; one daughter, Leah White of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Ross Good and Pete Good and his wife Patsy; four sisters, Jane Hensehen and her husband Fred, Loretta Gault and her husband Earl, Mary Miracle and her husband Vernon, and Martha Roush and her husband Ken; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, listening to both classical music and popular music of the '30s and '40s, and bird watching. Mrs. Kelly graduated from Michigan State University in 1943 and taught in Clinton, Parma and Kalamayoo Public Schools. The Kellys celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 1, 1994, at The Inn at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Rex Sheldon and Irene Colburn Martin; her husband of over 50 years, Olin Kelly; and two brothers, Harry Martin and William Martin. Mrs. Kelly is survived by Steve and Janice Martin and Jim and Maxine Cole, all of Michigan. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
