From The Oak Ridger 29 Dec 2005 Peggy Ester Oliver Eidson Hubert Lee Green, age 61, of Oak Ridge, On December 28, 2005, at 2 a.m., Peggy Ester Oliver Eidson went to be with our Lord Jesus. At the time of her passing at age 81, she was being cared for by her beloved daughter, Jane Gresham, and granddaughter, Courtney Gresham. Peggy was born April 27, 1924, in Yadkin County, North Carolina, where in 1944 she married James Hampton Eidson of Elkin, North Carolina. After World War II, she and her husband, a Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, moved to Oak Ridge, where in 1953 they opened a business, Ridge Aquarium and Metal Fabricators and later known as RAMFAB Pet Supply on Midway Lane, until their retirement in 1995. Mrs. Eidson was a wonderful mother and wife and was a joy to everyone who met her. She worked diligently beside her husband running a business for 52 years and raised five children. Since moving to Oak Ridge, she had been a member of Central Baptist Church, First Baptist Church and before her death, Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Eidson, mother, Maude Oliver, father, Carl Oliver, and brother, Ned Oliver. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws, James M. Eidson and Karen of Oak Ridge, Patrick D. Eidson and Linda of Knoxville; three daughters and son-in-laws, Ann Simoncelli and Mace of Clinton, Donna Taylor and Ronnie of Clinton, Jane Gresham and Buster of Powell. Her grandchildren, Mindy Miles, Cindy Green, Nikki Moore, Emily Perkins, Amy George, Courtney and Jacob Gresham, and Patrick H. Eidson. Step-grandchildren, Wendi Wisman, Lake Subsavad, Brandon and Brock Gresham, and Vaughn Eidson. Great-grandchildren, Cyera Anderson, Tori and Chris Miles, Brandon Evans, Chloe Perkins, Ashton George, Eli Eidson, Isaac, Issaiah and Savannah Gresham, Josie and Carly Wisman. The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2005, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. An online memorial guest book may be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com. Hubert Lee Green, age 61, of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005, at his home. Mr. Lee was born July 4, 1944, in Jacksboro, TN, to Hubert and Bessie Daugherty Green, both now deceased. Mr. Green worked for himself as a painter. He is survived by a special friend, Ina Ledbetter of Oak Ridge; a brother John Green of LaFollette, TN; and by an aunt and uncle, John and Ethel Daugherty of LaFollette, TN. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday December 28, 2005, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Sills officiating. Interment followed at Anderson Memorial Gardens, Oliver Springs Highway.
