From The LaFollette Press 8 Dec 2005 Danielle Lilly Bowman, age 25 Edna Ethel Collette, age 87 of Harrogate, formerly of LaFollette Frankie Mae Davis, age 79 of the Clairfield Community Gregory Scott Head, age 37 of Williamsburg, KY Margaret Dean Malicote McNeeley Heatherly, age 63, of LaFollette Charles Sterling Kincaid of LaFollette Ralph Lane age 57 of Jacksboro Ralph Lane age 57 of Jacksboro Earl C. Stooksbury, age 83 Earl F. Williams, age 77 of Knoxville, formerly of LaFollette Danielle Lilly Bowman, age 25 was called to her eternal home by God on Nov. 30. She was born Nov. 1, 1980, in Salem, OH. She was the daughter of Danny and Verna Bowman, Middlesboro, Ky who survive her. She attended Gateway Christian School, and was a graduate of Bell County High School and Lincoln Memorial University, and was a 2002 graduate of Leadership Bell County. An active community leader she was a member of the Bell County Friends of the Shelter, president of the Middlesboro Business and Professional Women's Club, served as a team captain/chair for Bell County's first American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and worked with the Claiborne County Relay for Life, and was a member of the Leadership Bell County Steering Committee, and Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival Committee. She also participated in numerous other volunteer community service projects such as Bell County Repair Affair, Bell County High School Advisory Council, Bell County Domestic Violence Council, March of Dimes Walk-A-Thons, Girl Scouts of America, Bell County Council on Literacy. She also served as director of the Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival Pageant, and was a member of the board of directors of Henderson Settlement. She was an active member of Binghamtown Baptist Church, where she taught the 9-10 year-old girls Sunday School class, and led a young women's prayer group.Her honors include being named a Kentucky Colonel, and at the age of 24, she became the youngest woman ever to receive an award at the 2005 Bell County Celebration of Women. She had worked at J and J Accounting, Bell Whitley Community Action Agency, and had served as Director of Alumni Affairs at Lincoln Memorial University. Currently she was employed at Morgan Keegan in Knoxville where she was being trained to be a stock broker. She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and was a loyal and devoted friend to many. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Daniel M. Bowman, and Ancil and Edna Jones. Survivors include her parents, Danny and Verna Bowman, Middlesboro; brother, Derick Bowman, Middlesboro; sister, Hannah Bowman, Middlesboro; grandmother, Pat Bowman, Speedwell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Dec. 3 at Binghamtown Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Boyd Bingham and the Rev. Gary Monday presiding. Interment was in the Beeler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the 9-10 year old girls Sunday school class at Binghamtown Baptist Church or the Danielle Bowman Scholarship Fund at Gateway Christian School. Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro was in charge of the arrangements. Edna Ethel Collette, age 87 of Harrogate, formerly of LaFollette passed away Dec. 6. She was a member of the Haynes Flat Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pleas Edgar and Josie Roach Miller. She is survived by her son, Gene Martin of Harrogate. Memorial services are pending by Reece Funeral Home. Frankie Mae Davis, age 79 of the Clairfield Community passed away Nov. 27 at the Jellico Community Hospital. She was a life long member of the Fonde Church of God Mtn. Assembly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaitor Davis; son, Bobby Davis; father and mother, Jehew Taylor and Emmie Mathis Taylor; sister, Dorie Taylor. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Gregory Scott Head, age 37 of Williamsburg, KY passed away Nov. 27 at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Samuel Head and Adrian Price; grandmothers, Jewell Head and Lora Price; brother, Mark Edwin Head. He is survived by his wife, Robin Head of Williamsburg, KY; sons, Mark Gregory Head of Williamsburg, KY and Jacob Scott Jameson Head of Williamsburg, KY; father and mother, George L. Head and Edwina Head of Williamsburg, KY; brothers, Eldon Head and wife, Robin of Williamsburg, KY, Tim Head of Williamsburg, KY; nieces, Tonya and Wendy; nephews, Jason and Justin; a host of other relatives and friends. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Margaret Dean Malicote McNeeley Heatherly, age 63, of LaFollette passed away Nov. 28. She was born December 27, 1941, in LaFollette to the late Alvis and Lillian Baird Malicote. She was also preceded in death by first husband Junior McNeeley; brother, Robert Malicote. She was a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Bill Heatherly; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Debi Malicote, LaFollette; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda M. and Carl Roberts, Kingsport; sister-in-law, Jean Malicote, LaFollette; special nieces, Kris Malicote and Meredith Finstad; other nieces, Tracy Thomas, Lisa Malicote, Tammy Roberts, Amber Malicote, Judy McNeeley and Kathy Henderson; nephews, Stacey and Tim Malicote, Eric Roberts, Michael Malicote, Rob Thomas and Jacob Finstad; stepchildren, Deborah K. Charles Sterling Kincaid of LaFollette passed away Nov.29 at LaFollette Court, Assisted Living. He was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Paris, TN, where he was a resident for 52 years. He was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers and TVA. He retired from TVA in 1974 after 42 years of service. He was a member of a group of employees of the Army Corps of Engineers that transferred to TVA on August 1, 1933. He is the last member of the group to pass away. He worked with TVA in engineering and various management positions in public health engineering and land management. He was a charter member of the Paris Elks Lodge and Paris Country Club. He served 14 years as vice chairman of the Paris Board of Public Utilities after retirement. He graduated from LaFollette High School and attended Lincoln Memorial University and Vanderbilt University. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Flora Pilcher Kincaid; brother, John Boyd Kincaid of LaFollette. He is survived by his sister in law, Annette Kincaid of LaFollette; nephews, William R. Kincaid of LaFollette and Kenneth T. Kincaid of Smyrna, GA; niece, Ann Kincaid Fairless of Conway, AK; several grand nephews and grand nieces. It was his wish to be cremated. There was a Memorial Service in the Chapel of LaFollette Court Assisted and Independent Living Center on Dec. 3. Graveside services were Dec.5 at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris, TN where his wife is buried. McEvoy Funeral Home of Paris, TN was in charge of graveside services. Ralph Lane age 57 of Jacksboro passed away Dec. 3 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of Coolidge Ridge Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed driving race cars and talking with all of his family and friends who came by especially his grandchildren.He was preceded in death by parents, Willie and Mary Purcell Lane; sister, Delcie Lane. He is survived by his special friend, Cathy Becker of Jacksboro; sons, Christopher Jamey Lane and Jody Lane both LaFollette, Curtis Lane of Jacksboro; daughter, Michelle Ward of Caryville; six grandchildren; brothers, Roger Dale Lane, Lucian Lane, and Billy Clyde Lane all of Lancaster, KY; special friends, Diane Sawylers of KY, Kathy Gray , and Roger and Joann Shetterly both of Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, Funeral services were Dec. 6 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Earl C. Stooksbury, age 83 passed away Dec. 4 at Cleveland Community Hospital in Cleveland. He was born in Loyston, TN and was a veteran of the Army having served in World War II and resided most of his life in the Anderson County Area, but also lived in Highland, Ind for 14 years where he worked and retired from Youngstown Steel. He was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church. He loved his family and serving the Lord through gospel music. He sang and played the guitar in several gospel groups beginning in the fifties with a family group, the Stooksbury Quartet. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cas and Ada Stooksbury; wife, Nora Daugherty Stooksbury; daughter, Earlene Sue Hoover; brothers, Lillard, Chester and Maynard Stooksbury. He is survived by his wife, Ilene Goins Stooksbury of Cleveland; sister, Vonette Wood of Norris; special sister in law, Maurice Stooksbury of Clinton; son, Ricky and wife, Mary Stooksbury of Crown Point, IN; daughters, Gail and husband, Ronald Meredith of LaFollette, Karen Thorpe of Pigeon Forge, Tammy and husband, Ronnie Martin of Orlando, Fl; special step-daughter, Barbara and husband, Don Palmer of Cleveland; step-sons, Ronnie and wife, Jean Goins of Andersonville and Donnie and wife, Lee Goins of Oliver Springs; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Dec. 6 at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Holley Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Earl F. Williams, age 77 of Knoxville, formerly of LaFollette, passed away Dec. 5 at Hillcrest West Nursing Home in Knoxville. He was saved and was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Ella Mae Williams; brothers, Clyde, Dewey and Robert Williams; sister, Christine Boshears. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Haff and husband, Robert of Knoxville; son, Carl L. West and wife, Elizabeth of LaFollette; grandson, Bobby Cooper of Knoxville; sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Mary Jean Minton, Eva Mae Caldwell, Anna Jewell Myers all of LaFollette, and Lois Allen of Clinton; two great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
