MOSER - age 33, of Sweetwater, JOHNSON, BENJAMIN FRENCH - age 73 of Knoxville MELHORN, STELLA MARIE HAMBY - age 90 of Wartburg, WEST, JOYCE E. - age 76 of Harriman, GOOLSBY, ROBBIE LEE - age 95, of Clinton, passed away December 2, 2005. She was born June 4, 1910 to the late John Andrew Goolsby and Effie Cook Goolsby of Livingston, Tennessee. She was a retired teacher and social worker. She attended Harding University, Tennessee Technological University, Peabody College, and Pepperdine University. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Special Education. She was a social worker in Anderson County. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Anderson County Retired Teachers Association, Clinton Business and Professional Women, and the Anderson County Education Association. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, most recently the Clinton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Y. Goolsby of California; and a sister, Virginia Goolsby Coffman of Livingston. She is survived by a brother, Walter Goolsby & wife, Ollie, of Kingston; sister, Georgia Goolsby Verble of Clinton; nephews, Bill Goolsby & wife, Marty, of Knoxville, Sidney Verble & wife, Suzanne, of Elizabethtown, Ky., John Verble & wife, Kathy, of Lenoir City, Je` Goolsby & wife, Jan, of Santa Barbara, California, & Mike Goolsby of San Luis Obispo, California; niece, Lana Goolsby Shaffer of Santa Barbara, California; grand-nieces, Dana Goolsby Jones & husband, Albert, of Pasadena, California, Jenny Verble of Elizabethtown, KY, & Kaylee Verble of Lenoir City; grand-nephew, Andrew Verble of Elizabethtown, KY. The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton Saturday, December 3, 2005 from 6 to 8 PM with the funeral at 8:00 PM with Ministers Garry Jones, Darrell Glenn & John Verble. Burial will be Sunday, December 4th at 2:00 PM CST at Overton County Memorial Gardens. Holley- Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. JENKINS, SHARON R. MOSER - age 33, of Sweetwater, passed away 11:19 A.M. Friday December 2, 2005 at her family home. She was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God, Lenoir City where she was active with the choir and youth. Graduate of Lee University. Employed by Sweetwater Insurance Agency for many years and recently with O.R.N.L. in Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Erskin & Volena Moser and Cecil Raper. Survivors: husband: Robert B. Jenkins; parents: Bennie R. and Marilyn M. Moser; brother & sister-in-law: Sam & Kelly Moser; brother & fiancé, Ben Moser & Shannon Lee; nephews: Laint & Morgan Moser, all of Sweetwater; grandmother: Helen Raper, of Madisonville; father & mother-in-law: Benny & Estalene Jenkins, of Tellico Plains; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. Monday at the Sixth Avenue Church of God in Lenoir City with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M.. Dr. Ernie Varner and Rev. Charles Fritts officiating. JOHNSON, BENJAMIN FRENCH - age 73 of Knoxville passed away Friday December 2, 2005 at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville. Mr. Johnson was born March 10, 1932 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to the late Baxter French and Grace Weaver Johnson. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, Past President of the Oak Ridge Lions Club, Past Treasurer of the Oak Ridge Boys Club, member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, National Contract Management Association, and the Oak Ridge Elks Lodge #1684. Mr. Johnson was a retired auditor with Martin Marietta Corp. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by he first wife Doris Hankal Johnson and also by his second wife Velma Soard Johnson and his third wife Mildred Cappiello Johnson. He was survived by a son William French Johnson and wife Virginia of Claxton, a daughter Karen Ann Wright of Jacksonville, FL, three brothers Robert Johnson of Lake Zurich, IL, Homer Melvin Johnson of New Castle, PA, Clyde H. Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, one sister Mary Ann Martin of Annandale, VA, a stepson Anthony P. Cappiello, Jr, of Knoxville and a step daughter Candace Cappiello of Alexandria, VA. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Monday December 5, 2005 in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Mooney officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery 4717 N. Broadway Knoxville, TN. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday at the funeral home. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wartburg and also a 1936 graduate of Oakdale High School. She was preceded in death by her husband; F. Edmond Melhorn, infant children; James and Virginia, parents; William and Clara Ruppe Hamby, sister; Katie Hamby, brother; Charles Hamby, daughter-in-law; Brenda Sexton Melhorn, grandson; Joseph Melhorn, great-grandson; Alex Goins, great- granddaughter; Neeley Elisabeth Prince. She was born in Batavia, NY and had made her home in Florida for a number of years. She was a retired pharmacy technician from K-Mart having worked 23 years. She moved to Harriman less than one week ago to be with her daughter. She loved animals and enjoyed collecting Ashton Drake dolls. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, with whom she made her home, Lori and Connie Mayton; son, Rickie Pratt of Florida and one brother, Bob Adams; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
