Gunter, age 88, Janice Quimby, 94, of Oak Ridge, Bonnie Pauline Dane Teeter, 92, Blanche Parker Thompson, 88, of Oak Ridge, Clara Griffin Brandon, 80, widow of Luther Edward Griffin, to whom she was married 34 years, and widow of Paul Brandon, died Dec. 21, 2005. She was a former resident of Paducah, Ky. and Oak Ridge, Tenn. She was the daughter of Otis and Minnie Jones Norsworthy and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a son, Eddie Griffin and wife, Terry, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Judith Carol and husband Ben Fryrear of Arlington, Tex; six grandchildren, John Massey and Joanna Massey Fenske, both of Savannah, Ga., Joe Griffin, Jody Griffin, Shannon Kazee and Shanean Lamb, all of Lexington; seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; dear friend Judy Griffin; and a host of friends. The service was to have been held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Ky. The families ask that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice. W.R. Milward-Southland, Lexington, Ky., is in charge of arrangements. Margaret P. Gunter, age 88, died December 23, 2005, at Briarcliff Health Care Center after a long illness. Mrs. Gunter worked at the City Market in Elm Grove Shopping Center in the 1950s before moving to St. Louis, Mo., in 1962. She moved back to Oak Ridge in 1992. Originally form Gassaway, W. Va., she was born December 12, 1917, to the late William Eugene and Edith Leete Paisley. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Gunter, her brother Harry Paisley, and her sisters, Patty Reynolds and Jean Morrison. She is survived by her son William Gunter of Park City, Utah; daughters, Lauralee Gunter, Pat Gunter, and Lee Anne Bradt, all of Nashville, and Lee Ellen Gunter of Oak Ridge; and by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday December 27, 2005, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations could be made to Keystone Adult Day Program, 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Janice Quimby, 94, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge. Born Feb. 3, 1911, in Danvers, Mass., she was the daughter of Stuart and Belle Morgan. She was a graduate of Danvers High School. Mrs. Quimby retired as a typesetter from the Kingston Press in 1977. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and participated in the Key Stone Elder Care program. She was also a member of the Republican Party. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis "Bill" Quimby, and her son, Phillip Poirier. Mrs. Quimby is survived by six children, Charles Poirier and his wife, Clair, of Danvers, Jackie Ponushis of Cape Coral, Fla., Garry Poirier and his wife, Mary, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Bobby Quimby and his wife, Lynn, of Kingston, Clyde Quimby and his wife, Donna, of Pueblo West., Colo., and Lee Quimby and his wife, Mary Ann, of Dallas, Texas; and by 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bonnie Pauline Dane Teeter, 92, widow of Ernest Teeter of Russellville, died Sunday, December 25, 2005, at Stella Manor with family at her side. The daughter of Jess and Etta Moore Dane, she was born January 2, 1913, in Bradley Cove near Russellville. She was a 1931 graduate of Russellville High School. She served as secretary to the superintendent of Tillar School District for many years. She was a member of the Pope County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Deaton-Roush Circle and the P.K. Merrill Sunday school class. In addition to her husband, Ernest, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sybil Chronister, a daughter-in-law, Maxine Teeter and a son-in-law, Lenard Smith. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Stanley and Maysel Teeter, Russellville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ernestine and Dr. Howard Friedman, Knoxville, Tenn., Karen Smith, Russellville; six grandchildren, Becky Teeter, Dallas, Texas, Dr. Mark Teeter, Fort Smith, Matthew Friedman, Los Angeles, Calif., Craig Friedman, Tempe, Ariz., Alan Smith and his wife, Julia, Brandon, Miss., Andy Smith and his wife, Stephanie, Cordova, Tenn.; four great grandchildren, Jacob, Katie and Forrest Teeter, Fort Smith, Max Smith, Brandon, Miss.; a sister, Reba Hanks, Detroit, Mich.; a brother, Ralph Dane, Sallisaw, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mackey Yokem officiating. Visitation will be held at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Active pallbearers are Becky Teeter, Dr. Mark Teeter, Matthew Friedman, Craig Friedman, Alan Smith and Andy Smith. Honorary pallbearers are members of the P.K. Merrill Sunday school class.
