He was a member and deacon of New Horizon Baptist Church, where he was faithful to the bus ministry with a great love for his fellowmen and their salvation. After graduating from Ward-Belmont College, Peabody College, and the University of Tennessee, she was a supervisor and teacher at Tennessee School for the Deaf for 34 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her great grandchildren, and she also enjoyed reading and working in her flowers.
