    3. http://www.ihoneida.com/obituaries.html August 12, 2007 Scott County, TN Independent Herald BYRD Naomi Lois Byrd, 86, passed away July 29, 2007, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 28, 1921, she was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Pearl Stonecipher Blakley; her husband, Clifton Byrd; infant daughter, Johnnie Jo Byrd; son, David Byrd; granddaughter, Jenna Marissa Ellis; brothers: Alton, Clendon, and Arlo Clifton Blakley; sister-in-law, Frankie Blakley; and parents-in-law: Joe and Cora Byrd. She was a member of the Low Gap Baptist Church, and had regularly attended Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters: Marva Owens and husband, Jimme, Deane Phillips and husband, Mike, Carol Burgess and husband, Rocky, Anne Byrd and Bill Ray, and Rebecca Byrd, all of Scott County, and Frieda Byrd and Bill Hager of St. Petersburg, Florida; son, Glen Byrd and wife, Lisa, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters: Iris Jeffers and husband, Claude, of the Low Gap community, and Sue Reid and husband, Jerry, of Manchester; brothers: Arvis Blakley, and Norvan Blakley and wife, Barbara, all of Scott County; sisters-in-law: Ruth Blakley of Scott County, and Myrtle Blakley of Florida; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandsons, special friends: Rick and Hattie Craft, Ricki and Jonah, Donna Brooks, Nina Jeffers, and very special friend and caregiver, Deanna Sexton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many other relatives. Funeral services was conducted August 1, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Rev. John Bolin officiating. Music was provided by the Harvest Trio, and Karen Melton. Internment followed in Carson Memorial Gardens. Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
