    3. The following obituary was in the Dayton Daily News this morning. It maybe of interest to some. Claude McGhee, Bertha, age 86 of Gratis, OH. Died Wed. Dec. 5, 2007 at Vancrest Nursing Center in Eaton, OH. She was born on May 14, 1921 in Caryville, TN to Fealin and Dessie (Sexton) Jeffers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, in 2004. She was a member of the Gratis Baptist Church. She was active in the church for many years serving as Treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and working in children's church. She is survived by 2 sons Owen "Roger" McGhee, Seatac, WA, Kleetis (Teresa) McGhee, Eaton, OH, 2 daughters, Pernie (Jack) Poynter, Eaton, OH, Zina (Gary) Walker, Gratis, OH, and 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Dennis McGhee, killed in Vietnam in 1969, and 3 brothers, Marley, Melvin, and infant Fred Jeffers, and half brothers and sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Minnie Younce, Herbert Newport, Leon Newport, Arnold Newport, and Amy Lay. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Gratis, OH with the Rev. Norman Meadows officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 PM and 1 hour prior to the funeral. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.     3. Thanks Claude, this may have been posted before: Oliver McGhee, age 87 of Gratis, OH died Nov. 25 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN. He was born in Caryville on Oct. 22, 1917 to Howard and Rhoda (Bullock) McGhee. He had retired from General Motors in 1981 after 27 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and served as deacon, Sunday school superintendent and teacher. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis in 1969; sisters, Myrtle Ward, Alice McGhee and brother: Charlie McGhee. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bertha McGhee; sons, Owen "Roger" McGhee, Seattle, WA, Kleetis (Teresa) McGhee, Eaton, OH; daughters, Pernie (Jack) Poynter, Eaton, OH; Zina (Gary) Walker, Gratis, OH; brothers: Arvel McGhee, Jacksboro, George McGhee and Marshall McGhee both of Caryville, Clyde McGhee, Knoxville; sisters, Lizzie McKamey, Caryville and Mary Byrge, Dayton, OH; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.. Funeral Services were Nov. 29 in Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, OH. Donations may be made to the Gratis Emergency Squad. Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
