If it's a WWII era uniform, it's probably James Matthew Phillips, at times known as "Mac", son of Alice Cross Phillips, widow of General Phillips (1912) and George Hardy Blakley, born in Scott Co. 28 Jul 1915 and died in a car accident 29 Nov 2000. His wife had died just a few months before him. His only daughter just died a year ago. Mac was raised by relatives. He married in the '40's and has descendants in the Nashville area who would love to have a copy of the photo, if this is the right James Phillips. If so, is there a possibility you could scan it and email me a copy to pass along to his grandchildren?
