    3. While David was not born in Scott County, I feel his mother was likely from there. He has aunts living in Oneida. He was born May 26, 1949 in New Castle to Elmer and Rushie (New) York-Fortner. David loved to talk on the CB radio where he used the handle "Wheelchair Boy". He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always in a good mood; laughing all the time. He liked to fish and enjoyed his dog Lacey. Survivors include his mother: Rushie Fortner of New Castle; a sister: Wilma (husband: Tim) Dudley of New Castle; a nephew: Kyle Dudley of New Castle; a niece: Kayla Dudley of New Castle; uncles: Elmer (wife: May) New Jr. of New Castle, Willis (wife: Mary) York of Parker City, Arlie York of New Castle, and Raymond York of New Castle; aunts: Velma Brewster, Ruby Frogge, and Reba Luellen all of Oneida, Tennessee. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister: JoAnn Fortner; maternal grandparents: Elmer and Florence New; paternal grandparents: Sylvester and Ellie York; uncles: Lonnie York and Louie New; and aunts: Flora Butler, Lori Meade, and Mary Gooding. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2007 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with the Reverend David Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Creek Nursing Home with envelopes available at the funeral home.
