Actually, it makes clear sense. It's just quite different in my little town, up north here. I assumed that it would be the same other places. Here, if I were to ask for that information, they would be happy to see what they had available or could find. We found the same situation in another town quite a bit south of here. I guess it just depends on who you ask and how much they want to help. My experiences have been very good, and especially when they find that I am a genealogist on a mission. Just thought I'd make the suggestion. You might want to sit on it for a while, until you don't feel that you would be intruding on the family. The only problem there is that the funeral home people, who might be able to help you now, might have forgotten the connections when you ask later. The chance you take.
