    3. http://www.thecourier.com/Issues/2008/Feb/06/ar_obits_020608.asp Grady Bowling Sr. Grady Bowling Sr. went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2008 at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee comforted by his present wife, Lena and family. He was born December 14, 1929, in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Bill Bowling and Columbia Lowe- Bowling. He was laid to rest on January 19, 2008, in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins, Tennessee, with full Military Honors. Grady and his first wife, Hazel (now deceased) resided in Vanlue, Ohio and raised 7 children and one grandson. Surviving are: Grady Jr. (Julie) Bowling, Jim (Shelley) Bowling, Sharon (John) Butcher, Cheryl Stimmel-Davis, all of Findlay, Larry Bowling and Susan Wolfe of Copperas Cove, Texas and Linda (Clayton) Morgan of Allardt, Tennessee. Grandson, Scott Bowling (fiancé, Faith) of Oneida, Tennessee. In addition to Scott, there are 16 other grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Grady also enjoyed his 8 stepchildren and many step-grandchildren in the last 3 years of this life. Brothers: Arvel Bowling, Arlie Bowling, Carlie Bowling, Robert Bowling, Earl Overton; Sisters: Annie Burchfield and Frankie Hamby also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Hazel: Stepfather: Franklin Overton: Brothers: Kermit Bowling, Harvey Bowling, Bearl Overton: Sister: Faye Smithers: Grandson: Christopher Lee Bowling. Grady served as an Army Medic. He moved to Robbins, Tennessee after retiring from Cooper Tire (Findlay, Ohio) in 1987. He loved to fish and hunt. He also collected coins and stamps. We all loved to see the twinkle in his eye when he told stories about roaming the Tennessee countryside that he loved so much. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate his life and share stories about Grady at an informal memorial service at Calvary Baptist Church, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that any memorials be made in the way of a donation to the Cancer Society.
