I've found a few files on ancestry.com listing his parents as Richard Adkins and his wife Nancy, or Richard Adkins and his wife Rebecca Burrows. Anyone have any proof of any of that? In the last couple of weeks I have seen two new cemetery names in the Scott County News and the Independent Herald. They are Acres-Jeffers Cemetery and Lawson Memorial Cemetery. Can anyone tell me where these are located. Thanks in advance. Claude

My Thomas wasn't a justice of peace that I know of. To my knowledge, he was a farmer, sold trees for lumber, and a minister (according to an article about his wife Telitha Brown's murder). Some believe that he was married previously before her to an Elizabeth Robbins and was divorced in Morgan County. I am inclined to disbelieve this because he was said to have been a minister.
