Born May 17, 1941, in Oliver Springs, he was the son of Sabe Seiber and Maudie Brashears Seiber, who are both now deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran. A resident of Michigan since 1968, he worked as a truck driver for Ryder since moving to Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Elizabeth Ayers. Mr. Seiber is survived by two daughters, Tina Seiber of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Sheila Archer of Briceville; a son, Harold Kelley and his wife, Debra, of Oliver Springs; and 10 grandchildren, Courtney Seiber, Antonio Seiber, Keyanna Seiber, Andre Doss, Shannon Doss, Leslie Kelley, Alex Kelley, Scott Archer, Jessica Archer and Patricia Archer. He is also survived by two brothers, James Claude "J.C." Seiber and his wife, Darlene, of Cinebar, Wash., and Van Seiber of Oliver Springs; and by a sister, Betty McCarroll and her husband, Doug, of Harriman. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2003, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Mack Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. She was the daughter of Lottie and Eving Kent, now both deceased, previously of l 13 Venus Road. She was a 1965 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and a graduate of Roane State Community College. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Ms. Kent had worked as a respiratory therapist at Bradley County Hospital in Cleveland, Tenn. Most recently she worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She spent her spare time volunteering at the Holiday Bureau. She loved to repair and dress donated dolls then distribute them to needy children at Christmas. Ms. Kent is survived by four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Hilard and Gloria Kent of Plant City, Fla., Leslie and Jill Kent of Clinton, Ronald and Mary Kent of Spring Hill, Fla., and Melvin Kent of Nashville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Leslie Davis of Kennesaw, Ga., Mike Kent of Lutz, Fla., Mark Kent of Knoxville, Tami Harrison of Morristown, Kevin Kent of Clinton, Matthew Kent of Atlanta, Ga., Melissa Kent and Mary-Alison Kent, both of Casselberry, Fla.; and by grandnieces and grandnephews, Miah Davis, Warren Davis, Jordan Barnes, Kent Harrison, Chelsea Kent, Michael Kent and Conner Kent. Miracle; a son, Larry Miracle and his wife, Marion, of Oak Ridge; a daughter Vicki Bright of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Dean Head of Crown Point, Ind.; and by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. John William Daniel Jr., 71, of Rome, Ga., and formerly of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at the Floyd Hospital in Rome. Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Richlands, Va., son of John William Daniel and Ocee Elizabeth Turner Daniel Odell. Mr. Daniel was an electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 760. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by sons, Robert Daniel and wife, Jenny, of Duff, John W. Carolyn Jane "Dee Dee" Schilling, 64, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at her home. Born Dec. 29, 1938, in Dorchester, Mass., she was the daughter of Wes Savage and Olga Smith Savage. Mrs. Schilling had been a resident of Oak Ridge since 1943, coming to Tennessee from Easton, Penn. She was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She had worked at the Y-12 Plant for 20 years and retired from environmental management organization. She was a volunteer for many years with CONTACT and with the Oak Ridge schools. She was also a member of the Oak Ridge Kennel Club. She had a great love for animals and often brought home strays which ended up with the family. Family was very important to her and she was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren, who knew her as Mema. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepmother, Peg Savage. Mrs. Schilling is survived by her husband, Robert Michael Schilling Jr., with whom she would have celebrated 38 years of marriage on May 8; her sons, Robert Michael Schilling III and wife, Shannon Perry Schilling, of Atlanta, Ga., Mark Wesley Schilling and wife, Jennifer Knowles Schilling, of Blacksburg, Va.; and her daughter, Lisa Suzanne Swindeman and husband, Michael J. Swindeman, of Liberty Township, Ohio. She is also survived by a brother, Roy Savage and wife, Gudran, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Priscilla Savage of Ocala, Fla.; and by three grandchildren, Peter and Julia Swindeman and Perry Schilling. Va., she worked for many years at the Naval Ordinance Plant in South Charleston, taking a medical retirement in 1960. She spent many years doing hospital volunteer work and helping others in her community. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Marie, and while in Oak Ridge, was lovingly nurtured by St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, her family said. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vernon Gondola Mairs and her husband, Hamilton Klase Sharpe. Mrs. Sharpe is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Smith and husband, Paul E. Smith Jr., of Oak Ridge; two granddaughters, Sarah A. Smith of Nashville and Lori D. Roets and her husband, Tom, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two great-grandsons, Ryan Roets and Joshua Roets, both of Jacksonville. Levy, 89, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at his home. Born September 12, 1913, in Oxnard, Calif., he was the son of Henry and Camille Levy. Mr. Levy received his doctorate in physical chemistry from the California Institute of Technology in 1938, after which he served as research fellow studying chemical crystallography until 1943. He moved to Oak Ridge in 1943 at the inception of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he used his chemistry expertise to serve the war effort. In 1948, he resumed his pre-war research in chemical crystallography and structure of liquids, and served as group leader directing research in that division until 1975. Although he officially retired from ORNL in 1978, he continued to conduct his research until 1981. During his time at ORNL, he also held teaching positions at the University of Tennessee's graduate program in chemistry and at the University of Tennessee's School of Biomedical Science. Most recently, Mr. Levy has been conducting research with Donald E. and Ada L. Olins on electron microscope tomography, helping to solve the problem of imaging asymmetric biological structures in three dimensions by combining multiple two dimensional images. He belonged to numerous professional societies, serving as president of the American Crystallographic Association and as a delegate to the International Union of Crystallography for many years. He was honored for his impressive contributions to the field of crystallography by the Antarctic Place-names Committee with the naming of Levy Island in Antarctica's Crystal Sound. For all his long residence in Oak Ridge, he was an active participant in the Smoky Mountain Hiking Club. He was also a member of the Jewish Congregation of Oak Ridge. Mr. Levy is survived by his wife, Bettie J. Levy; his two children, Janet Levy of Chapel Hill, N.C., and David Levy of New York, N.Y.; and his three grandchildren, Carmela, Gibora, and Kelila. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanne Marx of Menlo Park, Calif.; his brother, Joseph Levy of Berkeley, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.     2. >From The Oak Ridger 26 Mar 2003 Carl Willis Kidd, 88, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Briarcliff Health Care Center, where he had been a resident for the past 10 years. Mr. Kidd was born December 1, 1914, in Knoxville, the son of Arthur Houston Kidd and Ruby May Stewart Kidd. He came to Oak Ridge in 1943 and retired from Union Carbide Nuclear Division, Y-12 Plant, where he was a driver. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, where he was involved in many of the church's ministries including the printing ministry and the jail ministry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Guinn Kidd, who died Aug. 21, 1995, a daughter, Kathleen Owens, who died Sept. 21, 1994, and by a granddaughter, Terri Owens, who died March 2, 1985. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Buchanan and her husband, Bill, of Knoxville; a son-in-law, Robert W. Owens Sr., of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, Kim Owens Damewood and her husband, Ed, of Sevierville, Wayne Owens and his wife, Rhonda, of Caryville, and David Buchanan and Scott Buchanan and his wife, Karen, all of Knoxville; four great-grandchildren, Beth, Justin, Parker and Tanner; and by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Garvan Walls and Rev. Keith Price officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery.
