He was born Oct. 30, 1960, in Bedford, Ohio, moving to Tennessee in 1961, and had been living in Oliver Springs since that time. Ronnie was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church, and was an avid sports fan including professional football and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Goad Carroll, and one sister, Donna Carroll. Survivors include his father, Sherman Carroll and wife, Opal of Oliver Springs; brother, Ricky Carroll and wife, Kim of Oliver Springs; niece, Allison Carroll of Oliver Springs; nephew, Adam Carroll of Oliver Springs; and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Sharp Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Charlie Marlow officiating. Robert Paul "Bob" Delagrange, 71, of Spotsylvania County, Va., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Delagrange was born in New London, Conn., on Dec. 5, 1933. He served in the Air Force and played on the Misawa Japan Air Force Base football team in the mid-1950s. He was a graduate of California State, Northridge. He had worked as a mechanical engineer in many government shipyards, nuclear facilities, and research laboratories. Bob and his wife were welcomed to Spotsylvania after losing their home in Ocean Springs to Hurricane Katrina. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ellen Delagrange; one daughter, Anne Ellison and her husband Larry; one son, Paul Delagrange and his wife Roni; one sister, Patricia Robertson and her husband David and their daughters, Lia and Rachel. Bob was especially proud of his four grandchildren, Robyn, Chandler, Paul Jr., and Hannah Marie. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kent D. Rahm officiating. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery. He was born on June 28, 1926, in Etowah, Tenn., to parents Roy Chestley Johnston Sr. and Cullie Elizabeth Clendenen Johnston. He was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy. Roy came to Oak Ridge in 1959, from Cleveland, Tenn. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Machinist Union Local 480, and the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association, and his hobbies included woodworking, fishing and hunting, and NASCAR racing. Mr. Johnston retired as a machinist at the Y-12 facility. She was born in Lake City, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Kenneth (Shorty) and Annabelle Needham. She was a past member of Church Street United Methodist Church in Knoxville and a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church of McLean, Virginia. She grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Fulton High School and the University of Tennessee. After receiving a degree in English she taught English literature and composition at Karns High School in Knox County. She lived in McLean, Virginia for 38 years. For several years she worked in National Security positions for Litton Industries and the Northrop Grumman Corp. George, a native of Loudon, Tenn., was preceded in death by his parents Viola Katherine Snyder and William Christopher Columbus Babb; his brothers, W.C., Robert, Malcolm, William, and Alfred Ray, and sisters Jennie Arlena Vincent, Mary Louise Davis, Clara Francis (Brownie) Swiney; and twin sister, Martha Early. He graduated from Loudon County High School and attended and played football at Tennessee Wesleyan, Tennessee Military Institute, the University of Tennessee, and Southwestern University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in May 1942 where he served in England and at Normandy, France in the D-Day invasion, and was honorably discharged as 1st Sergeant in October 1945 after receiving a Good Conduct Medal and EAME Service Medal and ETO Service Ribbon. He returned to Loudon before moving to Oak Ridge in 1948 where he worked for 42 years with the Atomic Energy Commission (now known as the Department of Energy). He was a 54-year member of the First United Methodist Church where he served faithfully as an usher and a charter member of the Men's Bible Class. His passion was sports with an emphasis on football. George was a dedicated high school football official with the TSSAA for 40 years and was inducted into the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. From the Oak Ridger 10 Nov 2005 Oreita Faust Faidley, of Jefferson City, Tenn., Bonnie G. Lee, 90, of Oak Ridge, Philip Wade Smith, 76, a resident of Powell, Oreita Faust Faidley, of Jefferson City, Tenn., died peacefully at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Jefferson County Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for four years. Her care there was far above average and her life was lengthened, enriched and made comfortable and loving by her caregivers. Oreita was born in Paris, Tenn., on March 29, 1915. She grew up in Paris, attending Paris City School and graduating from E.W. Grove High School with honors. She finished Toler's Business College and did further work at the University of Tennessee. In 1943 Oreita was employed by Civil Service and began her career with USAEC in Oak Ridge, Tenn. At her retirement in 1978, she was serving as payroll supervisor. Oreita was preceded in death by her parents, George James Faust and Mary McCord Faust; and three brothers, Basil, Atril and John Thomas Faust. She is survived by three sisters, Cordie Maie Faust Dublin of Murray, Ky., Zenona Faust Harris and husband, Dr. Douglas J. Harris of Jefferson City, and Sarah Faust Faughn of Murray, Ky. She is also survived by three nieces, Rebecca Dublin Landolt of Murray, Ky., Barbara Dublin Schiappa and husband, Charles of Carlisle, Mass., Paula Harris Wolfe and husband, Gary of Jonesville, Va.; three nephews, Prof. Emeritus Karl D. Harris and wife, Thelma Dodd of Savannah, Ga., Dr. Kim B. Harris and wife, Dr. Lois Anne Harris of Liberty, Mo., and Don Faughn and wife, Leisa, and children, Carley and Chris of Murray, Ky.; great-nephews, Dr. Gregory W. Wolfe and wife, Charlene, and children, Autum, Ariel and Michael of Galveston, Texas, Hal D. Harris and wife, Elizabeth, and children, Julia and Sarah Elizabeth of Savannah, Ga., and Kyle Andrew Harris of Denver, Colo. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, Tenn., with her brother-in-law, Dr. Douglas J. Harris officiating. From The Knoxville News Sentinel 10 Nov 2005 BRUCE, KENNETH "KEN" - age 48 of LaFollete, BRUCE, KENNETH "KEN" - age 48 of LaFollete, passed on November 8, 2005 in Lafollette. He was a very active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Ken was a loving husband of 26 years and a very devoted father, son, and brother whose life was about God, family, and country. He was a 20 year US Army Veteran. After completing his active duty career in the US Army, he began his teaching career at Newcomb Elementary School in 1992 and then went to LaFollette Middle School as a Teacher, later becoming an Assistant Principal there. He then became a Principal at East LaFollette Elementary School where he remained until accepting the position of Assistant Principal at Campbell County High School in the year 2000. Ken touched the lives of everyone he met. He had a wonderful and unique sense of humor and will always be remembered for his one-liners. Survived by: wife, Jo Bruce; sons, Christopher and Patrick Bruce; parents, Gene and Beverly Hogarth Bruce all of LaFollette; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Maxine Bramlett of Jasper, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Mary Dee Bruce of LaFollette; sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Mark Montgomery of LaFollette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Debbie Bramlett of Jasper, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Joe Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
