    3. The obituary below was in today's Dayton Daily News. It maybe of interest to someone. Claude BROCK, Esther Mae Age 94, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2006 at her home. She was born October 29, 1911 in Harriman, Tennessee to George and Martha Brock. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and 7 sisters, including her beloved sister, Edith Whaley with whom she lived for many years; and nieces, Mattie Penick and Billie Rizzo. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Enon where she had many special friends. Survivors include niece, Mary Catherine "Minnie" Christenberry of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio. Palmer Jr., of Johnson City, Tenn., Mary Phillips, age 67, of Clinton, John Gaston Smith, age 71, a resident of Livingston, Tenn., Max Ray Stiles, age 64, of Clinton, David Bolling, of Clinton, William C. Brown, age 72, of Knoxville, passed away at St. Mary's Residential Hospice on Jan. 20, 2006. He was a member of St. John Newman Catholic Church in Farragut, Tenn. William and his wife, Jennifer, both were from Elgin, Ill., and moved to Knoxville in 1965. William retired from Johnson & Johnson Co., in 1994 after 30 years of service. He was an avid University of Tennessee supporter and enjoyed a getaway to the beach or warm sunshine by his pool. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marion Brown. Survived by his loving family: wife, Jennifer L. Brown; son, and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Demaris Brown; daughter, Julie Brown; grandchildren, Analisa, Katelyn and Nicholas Brown. He also spent 10 years at East Tennessee State University serving as the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Records where he was selected "Outstanding Young Man in America." After Mr. Palmer's tenure at the highest level of education, he entered the real estate development and management field with his expertise lying in the shopping center development area. His work spanned four states: Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina. In North Carolina, he received local and national recognition in the Professional Builders for his development work. In addition to his passion for his careers, he was also an avid golfer. Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dianne Gracey-Palmer; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Todd Wood of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; three precious granddaughters, Ellyn Kate, Caroline, and Abby Wood; one sister, Margaret Davis of Germantown, Tenn.; one brother, Lyle Palmer of Southaven, Miss.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Geneva Gracey of Clinton. The month and day of each agree with what I have for both birth and death. Can you or anyone else confirm that the years on the death certificate are correct? Thanks for responding.
