Does anyone know where I can find eary maps of the area. I have the list of when each county was formed and from which other counties the land was taken. I would like to see a visual. Also does anyone know if a county was formed from another county which county has the records of that area that was changed. Would the parent county have the before and the new county have the after? Thank you for your help. Jennifer, your surnames caught my attention. I have a Jesse W. Hinnard b. abt. 1816 in GA. Also, the Whitecotton family; I have been researching a family that indicated they might have been Whitefeather. But you know things are not always as they seem.
