I am looking for a Joel Mullins (my ggg-grandfather) who was born in Virginia about 1772 and died in Lincoln County sometime after the 1850 census (where he last shows-up). Because he would have been in the right age range to marry Silvy Reed in 1827, I've considered her husband a possible (but doubtful) candidate for being my Joel. Rutherford County isn't a likely place for him to have been at that time. I would greatly appreciate any additional info you can provide.
