BARB, An estate sale is a sale of the worldly goods, but not necessarily ALL of them, unless they are being sold for lack of funds to pay taxes, etc. But I don't think the will or lack of one comes into it. Today it certainly does NOT mean there was no will....sometimes very wealthy people die and the heirs sell most of the antiques, etc either at auction or in an estate sale. Some of the BEST antiques are found in those sales.
