I am trying to connect the above name Merritt to my Merritt's from Dekalb County. Lum married two Manus women (Bettie E. & Jennie Catherine) in Cannon County, TN. Would everyone check their census records, etc. and see if they can find anything on him. Any information would be appreciated. He is not listed in Dekalb County census records but I do not have Cannon or Rutherford County census recordsfor 1880 and above. Thanks for everyone's time.
