    3. Greetings - I was curious as to whether there was a Medical Society in Rutherford County/Murfreesboro, or records of Doctors in the Historical Society? My GGGGGrandfather (William Turner BASKETTE) was a Doctor in the area. I am not sure when he moved to Murfreesboro from Nashville, (I'm thinking in the 1840's), but I believe he died there in 27 Feb 1867. I don't really have much on him, so I am kind of searching for whatever info I can find. Thanks, Joe Flowers _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

    3. Hi Joe, There is a book at Linebaugh Library in Murfreesboro on the history of healthcare in Rutherford County. The Rutherford County Historical Society put it out. It's located in the historical section. You can email Charles Nored and ask him if there are any copies left of this publication. His email is clnored@home.com Charles is a very nice gentleman and is with the Historical Society. I did a lookup for the name Baskette in the first volume of "Annals of Rutherford County" but did not find anyone by that name. That just means he wasn't there before 1828. If I can be of any help just yell.
