Barbara Thanks to your kind help I think I have found the father of James W Morgan. In the 1870 Rutherford Co 8th district census there is a Samuel and Martha Morgan with 11 children, James age 30 was one of those children. If my James was 60 in the 1900 census and had been md 30 yrs it could be him. I think my James has been md twice This Samuel had a son named Robert and my James sons were named Samuel and Robert. Other researchers have told me they think Samuel was James' father Thank you a million times. Now if I could only find wills on them.
