Joyce, Thanks soooo much, not only for the info on District 6 and the Beers Map, but also the scoop on the Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. My Joneses went from Rutherford to Weakley County, and when the railroad came through years later, the village of Greenfield was built on land owned by Darling Jones and my Pattersons. They consequently helped to develop the town, owning many of the businesses and lots through the 1890s. It would thus be both informative and just plain FUN to get ahold of one of those maps!
