    1. [TNRUTHER] dist 8, 1878 Property owner's map
    2. Kenny I just received the microfiche of Rutherford Co, Tn property owners of 1878 (by D. G. Beers, 27th S. Sixth St, Philadelphia) which I ordered thru Library of Congress. It includes more than property owners, such as: the districts are numbered and clearly defined, and these numbers match the district numbers shown on 1880 census which you requested. There are also creeks, rivers depicted, several 'pikes' the railroad, some churches, many 'mills' etc, etc. Trouble is my microfiche viewer wont let me turn it sideways, so looking at one district at a time is about all I can handle (and not get 'cricks' in my neck). I've looked up district 8 and Eagleville is the largest town. Harpers River runs thru it, along with a branch called Higher and Spring Creek. However, just wondered if you knew that district 8 was the absolute most southwestern district in the county? It was bordered on the west by Williamson Co and on the south by Bedford Co in 1878. Oh yes, there is even an enlargement (inset) of the town of Eagleville with outlines of a few buildings titled 'grocery', or 'baptist church' or 'Eagleville Inst (whatever that is) along with names of some people who lived 'in town'. If you'll send me name of your ancestor who lived in dst 8, will try to find them. Did they live in Eagleville or outside it? If you have copy of the 1880 census, also tell me names of some of their neighbors listed on their page. Joyce Terrana, Burleson, Tx. 3. I don't mean to butt into your conversation but I'm up against a big brick wall that evolves around rutherford co.Could you tell me if there were any Eddings families living there, and a county work farm? I've been looking for Benjamin F. Eddings, they say he also went by a nickname, which we can't find. I think he was born about 1875 in Logan co. Ky. Anything you can find will be a big help.
