My g.g.g.grandfather was Rev. James McDonnold, a Cumberland Presbyterian circuit rider born in Greene Co, TN. One of his sons was named Benjamin Lakin McDonnold. Benjamin Lakin was a rather famous Methodist circuit rider who was, I believe, at Cane Ridge in 1803 and who died in Ohio. At some point, the two Revs must have known each other.
