    3. Jerry - Hello again. A reminder that our line is through America Parrish and John'Jack' FLEMING. I haven't found anything else on them since the last time we sent info. Is the G.D. PARRISH you refer to George David? Did I send you the info on America PARRISH and her descendents? I do not show anything on G.David descendents and would love to know more. Thanks - Bonnie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry & Susie Garrett" <cedar@negia.net> To: <TNRUTHER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 28, 2001 6:53 PM Subject: Re: [TNRUTHER] Roll Call > Looking for information on GARRETT, DILL, FLEMING, MADDUX, KELTON, AND > PARISH OR PARRISH (the latter family being from the Barfield Community). > Also seeking the maiden name of Martha who married G. 3. Hi Bonnie The "G.D." I refer to is George David Fleming, not Parrish. David as he was called was the son of John Fleming and America W. Parrish. I would be delighted to find out anything I can about the Parrish line, since I have nothing on them except for America being married to John Fleming, my g-g-grandfather. John died in Nashville, according to his son David Fleming, while a civilian prisoner of the Yankees. He was described as by David as an "ardent rebel". David meanwhile was a member of the 23rd Tennessee Infantry Regiment during the entire war, and was captured just a matter of days before the war's end at Petersburg, Virginia, and sent to a prison camp, Point Lookout, Maryland. He was released in June, 1865, and married Martha "Fleming" in October of that same year. I have not been able to determine if her maiden name was really Fleming, or another name. ----- Original Message ----- From: "BONNIE WHITE" <thewhitehouse-hixson-tn@worldnet.att.net> To: <TNRUTHER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 31, 2001 6:18 AM Subject: [TNRUTHER] Re: PARRISH/FLEMING > Jerry - > Hello again.
