I'm a Rutherford County native, but was transplanted to Memphis (Shelby Co.) about a year ago. My main research areas are Rockvale and Eagleville (mother's side), Lascassas area (father's side), and Murfreesboro (both). Some of the names I'm researching are: McPEAK, FLORIDA, LANNOM, PATTERSON (father's side); BLANTON, TAYLOR, MAXWELL, PRIMM, POPLIN (mother's side). Many of my father's people came from Wilson Co. and some went to Davidson Co. before arriving in Rutherford Co. Most of my mother's people came to Rutherford Co. from Bedford Co. -Deb (new to the list)

Haven't a clue --- Mostly I know they were in Tennessee or sometimes in "Rutherford" which is a county but also a city in Gibson County not to mention a county in North Carolina. For the most part my anscestors could seem to stay in one place very long. Loking for Maria Jane Pope who married Alfred Marion Halford before 1860 in Rutherford I have Kimbro who married Rebbeca Elviria Crocket ( daughter of Davy) he, Kimbro died and Rebbeca married James Halford.( Alfred Marion's older brother) They moved to Texas where they raised two or three Kimbro children . Alfred Marion and James's mother was Kieziah ( Kiziah, Kesiah what ever) don't know her last name, think she married Bradley Halford in Tennessee around 1812. Also looking for Farris ( Faris) Allen Alexander Blackwood McAfee ( I have an Azariah McAfee born in NC died in Tenn. It can't be a common first name. Does he connect to the Azariah Kimbro?) Hi Everyone...I am researching the BOWLING name ( and all other spellings of this name) in the Murfreesboro and Halls Hill areas. I'm not that familiar with the names of places in Rutherford County in the long ago...but this family seems to have been in a wide area. If you have any Bowling relatives please let me know. Is anyone researching the name GARDNER? Francis Ella Gardner married Marshall Lee Bowling some time in the late 1880's somewhere in Rutherford County (I think). They lived in the Murfreesbor area. Thanks for any information. Beth B
