Searching the ALEXANDER, ALFORD (sometimes ALFRED), BARRETT, and WARD families in Valley district of Rutherford County, later listed as Walter Hill area. Groups of these families moved to the McLennan County, TX area (Crawford, TX , Valley Mills, TX, Osage, TX all outside Waco) in the 1890s time frame, although I am sure some family remained in the Rutherford area.
