YES - this is the track and I've very familiar with your Abston line. The $65 question is, "did any of your Abstons go to Rutherford Co TN"? Hey Deb, I'm checking. I've been spending way too much time at the hospital but I'll try my best to get this done. Deborah- Don't know of any Abstons that were in RU CO., but I would not be surprised. I do know there were mostly in Clinton Co., KY and Clay, Putnam, Overton, and Roane, TN but some were also in Davidson so it quite likely that a few went a little south of there also. My lines in Rutherford were Phillips and James. My GGGG GF Wm. Phillips died in Brunswick, Co., VA in 1804 and his widow, Nancy James Phillips came to Rutherford Co. in 1812 with the children, incl. my GGG GF Wm. J. Phillips who m. Mary Ross in 1838 in RU. Nancy came to Rutherford from VA. at the same times as some of her James siblings incl. Carey James, Jr., her brother. Let me know if you would like for me to send the Thurman info that I have.
