I've "rescued" an old photograph of Ada BROWN also known as Mrs. John BELL, which was taken at the Laurence L. de Anguinas Studio in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Ada looking to be in her 20's or 30's at the time. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of Ada BROWN who along with her parents, R.S. and Alice M. BROWN were living in Rutherford County, TN during the 1880 census. R.S. BROWN was age 35, a Merchandiser (probably owned a mercantile store) born in TN to parents born in NC. His wife Alice M. was age 31, born in TN to TN born parents. Seven children were living with the family during the 1880 census including, T.E. age 15 (Clerking in Store), J.W. age 13, Ada age 11, Robert age 9, Nina age 6, Mary age 3, and Irine age 2 months, all born in TN. A cook, a servant, and a store clerk were also living with the family at the time. I believe that Ada BROWN married John Smith BELL (b. 20 Nov 1852 at Shelbyville, TN) on 12 Nov 1890 in Rutherford Co., TN. It appears that this was a second marriage for John Smith BELL, however, the couple had at least one child, Robert Stripling BELL b. 1 Oct 1897. In addition to this photograph I also obtained a photograph which I believe may be somehow related since the handwriting on both photographs appears similar. The second photograph is one of Will C. WILLIAMS, his wife, and son Henry WILLIAMS which was taken at the Irwin Studio in Chickasha Indian Territory. The photograph was likely taken in the 1890's with the couple likely in their teens or 20's and little Henry just an infant. I'm hoping that the families can be located so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to family. If you are a member of this BROWN - BELL Family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
