    2. While researching Wood families in Rutherford Co., TN - I came across this entry on William Rowton. I think the Thomas L. Wood named here is the son of Owen L. Wood and his wife Nancy. From Marsh's book: Wills and Inventories of Rutherford Co., Tennessee Book 7, page 331 We met at the dwelling house of WILLIAM ROWTON, deceased, late of said county and proceeded to value and divide the negros belonging to the estate of said WILLIAM ROWTON, deceased. First lot drawn by WILLIAM D. ROWTON, five negros valued at $1157.00. Second lot drawn by MARY ROWTON, widow and relixt of WM. ROWTON, deceased, for the benefit of THOMAS L. WOOD and his wife POLLY WOOD provided they comply with the agreement entered into on the 12th January 1830 by the executors of WILLIAM ROWTON, deceased, five negros valued at $1072.00. Third lot drawn by JOHN ROWTON and contains three negros valued at $1127.00. Fourth lot drawn by MARY ROWTON benefit of BENJAMIN HANCOCK and his wife ELIZABETH on same condition as expressed in second lot above and contains three negros valued at $1193.00. Fifth lot drawn by (illegible) (illegible) and his wife MARY for three negros valued at $950.00. Sixth lot drawn by PEYTON ROWTON for 4 negros valued at $964.00.
