While researching Wood families in Rutherford Co., TN - I came across this entry on William Rowton. I think the Thomas L. Wood named here is the son of Owen L. Wood and his wife Nancy. From Marsh's book: Wills and Inventories of Rutherford Co., Tennessee Book 7, page 331 We met at the dwelling house of WILLIAM ROWTON, deceased, late of said county and proceeded to value and divide the negros belonging to the estate of said WILLIAM ROWTON, deceased. First lot drawn by WILLIAM D. ROWTON, five negros valued at $1157.00. Second lot drawn by MARY ROWTON, widow and relixt of WM. ROWTON, deceased, for the benefit of THOMAS L.
