Hey Ed, My Williams Barfield lived in Old Jefferson way before it was called "Old" <G>. I know your ancestors were in that area. If you ever see him please give me a yell. (Actually, if you saw him I'd expect more than a yell..maybe a scream of horror <VBG>) He lived next to Fred and James Barfield on the left fork of the Stones River. This was in 1803 or before. I have him here and then in Amite County, MS (near Natchez) in 1810 where he married Harriet Tarkington who was from Williamson County, TN. Kinda strange, huh.
