The Rutherford County Historical Society meets the third Monday in most months, next meeting is Aug 20, 7 pm, at the Crossmain Building in Murfreesboro. They do not have a phone number or a permanent office of any kind, to the best of my knowledge. Several years ago they had a file cabinet full of material. I don't know where that is now kept.
