I can attest to the above map web site,as I've used it very frequently. It offers topographical maps of the USA. And,it's free!. On the front web page, you just type in the town, county and scroll down to the state. Please realize, that anything pretty detailed, can also be a bit challenging. But,not difficult,it's a web site that may take you, a few times,to learn. Once you've picked the town or county and state, the map, will appear. First,as a "small" map. That can be changed to medium or large. It also goes 1 to 25,000,1 to 50,000,etc(magnification). 1 to 25,000 is pretty detalied, but some map details, are hard to read. Would suggest,1 to 50,000. If the map image you have,is not exactly the desired location or centered properly, you can click a spot on the map,to recenter,it. Again, do not expect to master this,on your first try. You can copy the map image. Or, you can save that image, but not by right clicking,"save as" The reason,as told to me,by topozone. com, is that the map is sooo detailed, that if you save as,you'll just get a small portion,of the image. So,once you have the correct map size and magnification and the map is centered as you want,"ALT,CTRL,PRINT SCREEN. Then,I "CONTROL V,and the map shows up on my Wordpad. I then use the SCISSORS,in my Word Pad screen, the map disappears, then open up your photo program, like Adobe or ACDSEE and paste the map there. Then, you can "SAVE AS" as a JPG,or some sort of image. Merry Xmas and a Blessed 2002 to all,in this list. Am grateful, for all the help received from the Rutherford Crew,in the Volunteer State. And,may the good Lord, look over our troops.
