Mari Byers reporting in <G> WILLIAMS BARFIELD HARRIET SOPHRONIA TARKINGTON BARFIELD-From Franklin..Williamson Co., TN. Married Oct. 28, 1810-Amite County, MS. Moved to Rutherford County soon after and raised a family till Williams got rode out of town on a rail. (He was a tobacco dealer and the market crashed.) Harriet and the kids went "down the river" alone to Natchez around 1820. Williams is on the 1830 Adams County, MS. census with them. After that aliens attacked and he is lost. (sigh) One odd thing..in Natchez Wms. is not listed on ANY of Harriet's houses, etc. There is however another man listed with her on "papers".
