My brick wall is still Vianna Rucker, b. 1849 in Tenn. I believe she is the d/o James Madison Rucker and Mary (Rucker) Rucker. There is an 1860 census record of Bedford Co., Tenn. listing a V. E. Rucker, 10 yrs, old living in the hh of James and Mary. Vianna married my ggrandfather, R. A. Colbert, 1870, Rutherford Co., Tenn., and was disowned by her family. This Vianna should not be confused with another Vianna who was born in 1812. If my supposition is correct, the older Vianna would be "my" Vianna's aunt. Do you know anything about this family???? If so, please let me know where else to look for some record of her. Thanks in advance, Darlene
Darlene- My GG GF, John L. Phillips, widower, married a Verginia (sp per 1880 census) Rucker in RU Co. 17 Aug, 1869. In 1870 census she was shown as Jemmie tho I suspect it should have read Jennie. According to her age shown in the two cenuses, she was born in either 1842 or 43. Her middle initial is listed as C. Do you happen to know if these two might be sisters?
