Beth, my Compton family came to Rutherford County about 1832 from Pittsylvania County VA. my family starting from my father was Vernon Compton> Edward > Elisha> Archibald > and John. John Came from Amila County ,VA To Pittsylavania County. John had lots of children and some went to KA and on to MO and west.Some came to Tennessee, Rutherford and Wilson Counties Vernon Compton
